A new update to The Culling called Trials of the Isle will be going live on April 27th and it will be bringing with it basically all of the features we wish that the game had when it first launched on Steam Early Access. We will finally be able to start private matches without matchmaking. No longer will we be forced to break into pairs and hope that matchmaking puts us in the same game. We will be able to play together directly.

The update will also include female character models. "An extensive suite of customization options" will be included, as it was for the male characters.

New matches called Trials will be held every weekend. Players will be required to use Trial Tokens, which are obtained by winning "normal" matches, to enter. You are then given a chance at "exclusive loot."

New weapons, customization options, and perks will also be included. SteamOS will officially be ed as of this update.

Keep an eye out for the update on April 27th. Additionally, The Culling will be 10% off from April 27th to May 2nd in order to celebrate the launch of the update.
