Yager Development Bids Players Farewell As The Cycle: Frontier Officially Shuts Down
The Cycle: Frontier has officially shut down today just over two years after the PvEvP extraction shooter’s early access launch.
The decision to sunset the game was brought about by a continually diminishing playerbase, which ironically stemmed from Yager Development’s inability to handle the massive influx of players, fix bugs, and get rid of cheaters. The mass exodus of players meant that the game wasn’t generating enough revenue to make it worth the studio’s time and efforts.
Yager Developments thanked players for accompanying them on their journey and bid the community farewell in the video below.
Prospectors,
Decades ago we settled on Fortuna 3... And for a while this frontier world was paradise.
