Wrath Of The Lich King Classic Will Be Getting Quest Tracking Assures Blizzard
World of Warcraft Classic players. Surprisingly, the quest tracking features that were added later into the expansion almost didn’t make the cut either.
In an interview with BlizzPlanet back in April, Principal Systems Designer Kris Zierhut and Lead Software Engineer Brian Birmingham revealed that automatic waypoints and other features that made questing easier will not be included when Wrath of the Lich King relaunches later this year. While this was true back then, the team has fortunately had a change of heart and will be making quest tracking available from day one.
“We do in fact intend to implement the quest tracking features that were added in patch 3.3 of original Wrath of the Lich King into the Quest Log and Map UI at some point,” said Blizzard. “The interviews linked by the OP were a few months old and our thinking has changed quite a bit on this since then.”
The Calendar, Equipment Manager, and other UI features will also be included in Wrath of the Lich King Classic but are still currently in development. As for the highly-requested Dungeon Finder, it looks like the team is putting their foot down on that one.
