Metal Assault is a free to play side scrolling 2D shooter from WarPortal that was inspired by classical 2D shooters like Metal Slug. The game was originally available back in 2009 in the West, but shut down due to poor reception. WarPortal oddly decided to bring it back from the dead in 2016. I personally don't think the game has a chance and none of us seemed to enjoy it in the video above. Not sure why Warportal is suddenly pulling a SubaGames and bringing back various super old dead games.
