Albion Online Dives Into The Accessibility Features And Crystal Arena Coming In Into The Fray

Albion Online Game Director Robin Henkys and his comfy couch are back with a new dev vlog that dives into the accessibility improvements and new Crystal Arena that’s coming to the PvP sandbox MMORPG in next month’s Into the Fray update.

As previously noted, the update will make travelling through the Outlands less of a chore with the addition of new Portal Towns. These are safe havens that will replace the current portal regions and will come with its own banks and marketplace so you don’t have to the player cities in the main continent. Players will also be able to fast travel back to their last visited city or hideout using the new Journey Back ability for mounts.

As for the Crystal Arena, it’s designed to give players a place to practice and hone their PvP skills outside of the Crystal League. The Crystal League, as players probably know, is a PvP instance with high-risk, high-reward hardcore full-loot rules. The Crystal Arena, on the other hand, will offer lesser rewards but players will get to keep their gear should they lose, offering a less risky option for new players who want to get into PvP.

The update will also introduce gear templates that saves multiple gear setups as well as the last one before death to make re-gearing more efficient. Some areas will also have their difficulty adjusted to encourage more players to explore the game world.

All of the above-mentioned contents, along with Into the Fray’s other quality of life improvement, should make Albion Online a much more hospitable place for new players when it launches on June 8th.
