Apex Legends Adds 3v3 Arenas, A New Legend, And A Battle

Apex Legends has just received a major update with the addition of the new 3vs3 arena for those who’d rather keep things small. Here’s how it works:

“Arenas is a new permanent game mode [that] condenses the chaos of 20-squad Battle Royale matches down into more focused 3v3 combat. You’ll face off against the enemy without any other squads coming to crash the party—allowing you to focus on surviving and winning the fight. You’ll compete over multiple rounds, striving to be the last squad standing each time.”

Arena matches take place in existing battle royale locations in King’s Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus with the addition of two new custom maps: Party Crasher and Phase Runner. More maps are planned to be added in the future.

The Legacy Update also introduces a new Legend named Valkyrie, the new Bocek weapon, a revamped Olympus map, and the new Legacy Battle . The update is now live on Steam, Origin, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
