ARK: Survival Evolved Launches New DLC And Conquest Season This Weekend
ARK: Survival Evolved will be launching a new DLC and will be kicking off a new Conquest Season this Sunday. The free Fjordur DLC will introduce a new wintry, Nordic-themed map of the same name along with a bunch of new creatures, dinosaurs, and the legendary Mjolnir as a functional weapon skin for the TEK sword.
“Mjolnir packs its own special powers and empowers Survivors with supernatural might. Devastate your foes with shocking ease as you exercise control over the element of lightning. However, not every survivor will the test and be considered worthy to obtain the mighty Mjolnir. Will you be up to the challenge?”
The dino-themed survival game will also kick off its Conquest Season 4 on several servers in the North American and European regions. Those servers will get three times more experience and triple gathering, taming, breeding, hatching, and raising rates. Tribes will also be capped at 25 players and tribal alliances will be disabled, although informal alliances will still be allowed. The Conquest servers will also be restricted to the new Fjordur map for the first 90 days with Gen 1, Gen 2, and Extinction maps opening thereafter.
Studio Wildcard is also celebrating Pride Month with special opt-in roles on Discord for and friends of the LBGTQ+ community.
“We continue to work towards creating an ARK community where all LGBTQ+ people are included, where everyone is free to play as their authentic selves and enjoy a space that s self-expression. It is more important than ever to recognize that systems of inequity based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, disability, and other forms of discrimination intersect and ultimately affect us all.”
The DLC and Season 4 goes live at 10:00pm PDT on Sunday, June 12th. More information can be found on the ARK: Survival Evolved official site.
