BitCraft Reports 752,000 Applicants Waiting To Get Into The Pre-Alpha Test
It’s been roughly a year since Clockwork Labs started pre-alpha testing for BitCraft, a low-poly sandbox MMORPG that has absolutely nothing to do with cryptocurrency despite its title. Since then, interest in the game has blown up with more than 752,000 applicants waiting to get into the ongoing pre-alpha test.
“For reference and to understand why so many people have not been invited yet: We have been able to scale the tests considerably since we started,” reported Clockwork Labs. “For the first test, we invited a few dozen testers, by now BitCraft can comfortably hold hundreds of testers and we will soon be ready to invite several thousand, but there are 752.000 applicants on our list.”
It looks like pre-alpha testing is expected to go on for a while though so you might just be able to get in if you’re lucky enough. For those who manage to get in, you’ll be treated to an early look at the game’s colorful procedural-generated world. Just don’t expect to see a fully-fleshed out game just yet.
In a recent Q&A post, the team reports that they’ve yet to add ambient music and sound effects and that seasonal cycles won’t be making it to the pre-alpha builds. They’re also working to add ships, crew mechanics, craftable clothing, and emotes although it looks like those are still in the concept stage.
If you haven’t signed up for the pre-alpha yet, you can do so on the BitCraft official site.
