Blade And Soul Threatens Permanent Bans For Windwalk Race Event Cheaters

In any game, there will always be players who won’t hesitate to break the rules in order to get a leg up over the competition and ruin the fun for others. Since Great Windwalk Race event kicked off earlier this month, there have been several players who achieved run times that would have been impossible to get by playing the mini-game normally.

NCSoft hasn’t revealed how the players were able to dupe the system but they’ve scrubbed the leaderboard times in question and have slapped cheaters with temporary bans and threatens permanent bans to those who continue to abuse the system. “We do not take these actions lightly and want to reiterate that if a player continues to abuse the Great Windwalk System, they will permanently lose access to their ,” the studio warned.

The studio is also asking players to stop pointing fingers with a warning that such forum posts will be deleted. “Most details about our actions and what we base them on cannot be shared publicly,” Community Manager Green Storm wrote. “Speculation does not lead to healthy discussions as we've already seen over the past week when we had to delete posts from players arguing on the forums. We will moderate comments that don't comply with the Forums Code of Conduct.”
