the final beta test for Dual Universe’s PvP-centric Athena update this week. The third and final playtest will run from April 14th through April 19th on the Public Test Server to give the devs another chance to fine tune the update in preparation for its release.
As previously noted, the Athena update will “set Helios ablaze” with new PvP content in the form of new resource-generating alien core units. The update will also introduce a whole host of quality of life improvements and new features including a new space map, visual upgrades, space markets, and PvP balance adjustments, along with a new-and-improved first time experience.
According to the devs, the revamped FTUE will provide “a better, more easily comprehensible starting experience for new players” and give them all the information they need to get settled in Helios with a solid foundation.
Athena is the sci-fi MMORPG’s last major update before its full release. More information can be found on the Dual Universe official forums.
