Frontier Developments has some good news for Elite Dangerous players on console in its latest newsletter. The portal and system that console players will use to transfer their s and progress over to the PC version is currently undergoing testing and the team is pleased to report that it’s “going well”, which bodes well for its scheduled release sometime this month.

Frontier promises to announce a final date in the lead-up to the Console Copy Process’ release week. The studio will also be dropping more information on the Version 4.0 code merge for the Horizon and Odyssey versions soon.

Meanwhile, the Thargoid Death Star, a.k.a. Stargoid, a.k.a ThargStar, that’s been hurtling towards an unknown destination has reportedly sped up and ed a designated marker system seven hours earlier than expected. The aptly-named Death Star is also leaving destroyed ships in its wake. In any case, the big question of where the unidentified alien object is heading still remains.
