Exoprimal’s Season 2 Is Now Underway With A Street Fighter 6 Collaboration Event
Capcom’s dino-busting multiplayer third-person shooter Exoprimal has kicked off its second season, bringing with it a new map, a new PvE mission, and a special cross-promotional Street Fighter 6 collaboration event.
The Ocean Platform map is now open for business as Season 2 officially begins. The new arena features different elevation points and treacherous footholds to traverse, offering new challenges and new strategies to consider as players work out which exosuits and gear will work best for them.
Speaking of gear, Season 2 also introduced several new rigs and modules that you can use to further customize your exosuits and fine-tune your builds. Those include the Edge Strike Rig which gives you the ability to teleport to melee range and get extremely up close and personal with your enemies, and the Drone Rig which can be detonated near other players and dinosaurs to stop them and impede their vision.
There’s also a new PvE extraction mission type called Escape for you and your friends to take on. The new Escape missions will pit 10 players against hordes of dinosaurs as they work together to clear a path through the rampaging reptiles to reach an extraction portal before it closes.
For Street Fighter fans, the Street Fighter 6 collaboration event is now underway with three exclusive Street Fighter-themed cosmetic sets. Each set will contain an exosuit cosmetic skin, an emote, a charm, a decal, and a stamp. The Ryu set can be unlocked by playing Dino Survival matches, while the Chun-Li and Guile sets can be purchased as a paid DLC at $6.99 a pop.
You’ll also be able to earn new cosmetics in events, starting with a Pumpkin Head skin when the Halloween event kicks off tomorrow. December’s event will feature a Santa Hat skin, while January will see some Monster Hunter-themed skins for you to add to your collection.
Capcom will also be running a double XP event from tomorrow until Monday, October 23rd. You can check out the official Exoprimal Season 2 trailer below.
