Indie Sci-fi MMORPG Starbase Pushes Back Early Access Release To Q1 2021

If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the early access launch of Starbase this year, then you’ll be disappointed to know that Frozenbyte has decided to push it back to the first quarter of 2021.

“Right now Starbase is in Closed Alpha, with roughly 1,200 of the community having access to the game in addition to developers. Aiming for Q1 2021 will allow us enough time to better prepare the game for Early Access.”

According to the Finnish indie studio, the additional time will be used to polish the game and introduce and improve several core gameplay loops including Fast Travel gates and the player-based economy, both of which have been recently introduced in its most basic form. The team says that they will also be adding tutorials, player stations, and gravity.
