Kakao Games Reverses ArcheAge Permabans Related To The Panty Exploit
Since Kakao Games took over as over 200 billion in in-game currency. They’ve apparently softened that stance a bit with the reversal of permabans on s involved in the so-called “Panty Gate” exploit during the Fresh Start period.
“[…] Although the player's actions were deemed to be an exploit, we feel that a permanent ban was overly harsh in this instance,” said Kakao in the official announcement. “As a long time has ed since then, and the imbalance that was originally caused during this exploit has been nullified by the given suspensions and removal of exploited underwear, we have decided that it is safe to remove the bans on these affected s and finally restore their access to the ArcheAge service.”
This only applies to legitimate s and alt s that were created for the purpose of abusing the exploit will remain banned. The team also maintained that no compensation will be given for lost playtime since the act was still a violation of the game’s of Use. Legitimate s that have not been unbanned are advised to submit a ticket to have their case reviewed.
“We will continue our tough stance on exploiting, botting and cheating in all of its forms, but we will endeavour to look wider and apply fairer sanctions in the future,” they concluded.
Meanwhile, ArcheAge players can challenge the King of Dance Jackson to a dance off for various rewards in the God and King of Dance event. Talk to Elvis in Mirage Isle to get daily and repeatable quests which will task you with copying the dance moves of Jackson, who bears a striking resemblance to an iconic singer-slash-dancer of the same name. The event is now live and will run until May 26th. Event details can be found here.
