Lost Ark Announces Sweeping Two-Stage Server Merges Across Europe And The Americas
Lost Ark is preparing for a series of sweeping server merges hot on the heels of its second anniversary. The two-stage server merges will take place this week and next week with the goal of reducing the total number of available servers across Europe and the Americas from 46 to just 12.
The first round of server merges is scheduled for March 6 and will halve the number of servers, followed by another round on March 13 which will cut the number of servers by half again. The plan is to eventually have just one big server for the Americas and presumably one for Europe as well.
Due to the extent of the server merges, players are advised to expect downtimes to last up to 16 hours. The team will also be implementing a comprehensive list of rules and policies for players with multiple characters on different servers. These include placing all characters into Universal Character Storage and reverting purchased character slots to Character Slot Extension Tickets.
Details can be found in the Lost Ark official site.
We have 2 waves of server merges planned over the next 2 weeks to enhance the group gameplay experience in the open world of Arkesia.
