MapleStory 2 Launching Phase 2 of Skybound Expansion on January 10
MapleStory 2 is starting the New Year off with an update. Phase 2 of the game's Skybound Expansion is launching on January 10th and with it comes the new Fortress Rumble Dungeon, Wrath of Infernog Chaos Raid, and a bunch of new quests in the Sky Fortress zone. While Phase 2 isn't as big as the first update, which introduced the new Soulbinder class, it still adds some refreshing new content to the game. A larger new expansion is planned for release sometime later this Summer. No details on that just yet.
On top of the new quests, dungeon, and chaos raid, Skybound Phase 2's launch kicks off a series of events which will run between January 10 - January 31:
- Infernog Expedition - Players level 10 and above can obtain Expedition Commemorative Coins based on cumulative time
- 2019 Lucky Pouch - Players level 10 and above can complete various quests to obtain a Lucky Pouch, and additionally can earn rewards by opening specific numbers of Lucky Pouches.
- Hide-and-Seek Hijinks - Players level 10 and above must complete 16 various quests based on the corresponding NPCs. Players who complete quests will obtain rewards. Players who became “Friend of the Day” and contributed to the quest condition check will get a buff.
