Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Rolls Out Its Final Update And A New Monster
Capcom has rolled out a bonus update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak which marks the sixth and final update for the expansion. The update introduced a decidedly more challenging and more vicious variant of the dragon-like Malzeno known as the Primordial Malzeno. As with all new monster additions, players will also be able to craft brand new weapons and armor from Primordial Malzeno parts.
In addition to the new monster fight, the update also brought with it new Qurious Crafting features including the ability to add more skill slots, new skills, and a new Qurious Melding skill. The maximum number of anomaly quests that players can have has also been increased, new items have been added to the anomaly research lab.
Players can also expect new event quests and increased monster appearances in anomaly investigation quests and the gathering hub.
Looking ahead, Capcom has confirmed that this marks the final content update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak as the company focuses on the future of the Monster Hunter series and the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebration next year. Consequently, the team will no longer be releasing new DLCs for the game while existing DLCs have now been bundled into three distinctly themed packages.
The bonus update is now live on the Nintendo Switch and Steam versions of the game and will be coming to consoles on August 24th. You’ll find the full patch notes here.
