Mortal Online 2 Launches Into Steam Early Access With A $40 Price Tag
Back in September, Mortal Online 2 developer Star Vault announced that they were scrapping their plans for an Early Access release in October and will instead be launching the full game in January 2022.
“We have come so close to adding all the features and content that we were planning on including for the full release that we don’t see a reason to enter early access anymore,” the studio explained.
Since then, the first-person sandbox MMORPG has been running in closed beta which should have lasted until its full release. But, Star Vault apparently had a sudden change of heart and have decided to go with an Early Access launch anyway. As of today, the Early Access version is available on Steam with a $39.99 price tag and a promise of no additional fees until full release.
Once the game officially launches on January 25th, players will need to pay a monthly subscription fee to continue playing. The base game comes with a free month of gametime so you won’t have to commit to anything right off the bat.
The Early Access build comes with a few additions to the game, including a new boss, a new no-boss dungeon, Spiritist Traders in all cities, Scribing, and more.
