Old School RuneScape Adds A New Demi-Boss And Task-Only Creatures To Its Caves
Old School RuneScape’s latest update is all about caves, specifically the Revenant and Wilderness Slayer Caves which have both received various upgrades.
A new demi-boss called Revenant Maledictus has been added to the Revenant Caves, which, once defeated, will give players three loot rolls from the Revenant Dragon. Revenant Maledictus will spawn depending on how many monsters are killed while inside the Revenant Caves or if it hasn’t appeared for a long stretch of time.
“Maledictus’ drops work just like those of Superior Slayer creatures, with a slight modification; Maledictus will run the Revenant Dragon’s loot table three times. One of these rolls is reserved for dropping a guaranteed lower-tier Ancient Artefact (the Ancient Emblem or Ancient Totem). The other two will roll the loot table as standard.”
New task-only creatures have also been added to the Wilderness Slayer Cave and the required number of kills required per task has been reduced for Fire Giant, Hill Giant, and Bloodveld.
