Old School RuneScape Launches Royal Titans Duo Boss and 12th Anniversary Events

RuneScape (OSRS), adding the Royal Titans—a duo boss encounter designed to teach players gear-switching mechanics—alongside a 12th-anniversary event and quality-of-life fixes.

Royal Titans Boss Fight

  • Location: Asgarnia Ice Dungeon (northwest of ice throne).
  • Mechanics:
    • Branda (Fire) & Eldric (Frost): Weak to melee, but require ranged/magic for phase transitions and minion management.
    • Gear Recommendations: 70+ combat stats, Perilous Moons gear, or equivalents like Mystic Robes/Abyssal Whip.
    • Duo or Solo: Up to two players can tackle the fight, with a -in-progress system.
  • Rewards:
    • Twinflame Staff: Auto-targets elemental weaknesses, fires dual projectiles. Tradeable, crafted from boss drops.
    • Deadeye & Mystic Vigour Prayers: Mid-tier prayers (+18% Ranged/Magic boosts) bridging early and late-game options.
    • Giantsoul Amulet: Teleports to boss lairs (Obor, Bryophyta).
    • Pet: Unnamed, obtainable via a “Sacrifice” loot option.

12th Anniversary Celebrations

  • Discord Events:
    • Cake Competition: Submit OSRS-themed cakes (Feb 10–17) for prizes like a RuneScape Cookbook or year-long hip.
    • Nostalgia Voting: Daily polls (Feb 9–20) on iconic moments (e.g., “scariest early-game experience”).
