Old School RuneScape Opens New Quest Speedrunning Worlds
Old School RuneScape players looking to earn new cosmetics by breezing through the classic MMORPG’s content will have the chance to do so starting today with the opening of the new Quest Speedrunning Worlds.
The server will function as an entirely separate, -only version of the game with its own rules and restrictions. To start a speedrunning session, players will need to select a quest upon logging in to the server which they’ll then need to complete as fast as possible. To keep the challenge fair, character levels will automatically be scaled to the required level for the chosen quest. Only five quests will initially be available at launch, with ten more to be added over the next five months.
Speedrunning points and trophies will be awarded based on how fast the quest is completed. These points can then be used to purchase various cosmetic and item rewards, including Adventurer’s Outfits in various tiers, Speedy Teleport Scrolls, and the Giant Stopwatch item.
The Quest Speedrunning World is Jagex. “Show us your best times, but most importantly have fun!”
