Overwatch 2 Debuts A New Animated Short Series On The Omnic Crisis Lore

Overwatch 2 animated short series that delves into the popular hero shooter’s lore. The first episode, titled “Dawn,” revolves around the backstory of the Omnics, AI robots created by the Omnica Corporation who’ve since evolved into sentient beings.

According to the game’s lore the Overwatch team was formed by the United Nations as a specialized force to fight the Omnic threat during a period known as The Omnic Crisis. Part One: Dawn, dives further back in the game’s history to show the creation of the robotic super humanoids.
