Server Issues Mark Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis’ Arrival On PS4

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis has officially made its way to the PlayStation 4 less than two months after its initial announcement. As can be expected of any major launch, the deluge of new players pushed the servers to their limits and caused various issues.

Thankfully, the issue took less than two hours to fix, although players are still reporting that they’re unable to any of the servers unless they disable the cross-play option since they’re already filled to the brim.

The promised glow-up pack for PS4 players, however, has been delayed to next week due to unspecified issues. In the meantime, players can still unlock new cosmetics, boosters, and other rewards as SEGA celebrates the sci-fi fantasy MMORPG’s PS4 launch with several in-game events.
