Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis – January 2025 Updates Revealed

SEGA has announced the first updates of 2025 for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, including the Super Genesis Festival Part 2, new Scratch Ticket campaigns, limited-time quests, and an intense solo boss challenge.

What caught my eye was the collab with Frieren: Beyond Journey's End where players can get Bonuses including Frieren, Fern, Stark, Himmel, Heiter and Eisen acrylic stand-style Build Parts, Special Scratch Tickets, SG, and GP.

January Updates

Super Genesis Festival '24 Part 2 (January 1)

• Central City will be adorned with New Year decorations and winter-themed attire.
• Earn Seasonal Points through event-specific Limited-Time Tasks.
• Participate in daily free draws for SG Scratch Tickets (10 tickets per day, up to 100 total).
• Gear enhancement success rates will be boosted during the campaign.

New Year Scratch Ticket Campaigns

Three exclusive New Year's Scratch Tickets will launch:

1. New Year's Remix Line '25
   • Remixed outfits from previous AC Scratch Tickets.
   • Scratch Bonuses include Rappy Sneakers, Preset Skill Enhance Success Lv.4, and more.
2. NY Rewind Collection '25
   • Brings back NGS-spec AC Scratch Ticket prizes from past January releases.
   • Includes Anaddi-class Augments and other enhancements.
3. Revival AC Scratch Tickets
   • Reintroduces PSO2-spec items, including Emotes and Weapon Camos.

Limited-Time Quest: Drill – Large Enemy Clean-up Op (January 8)

• up to 8 players to battle Giant Mutant enemies in Stia Outskirts.
• Starting January 13, the drop rate bonus increases to 250% for better rewards.

Solo Challenge: Ruine Masquerader (January 15)

• Face the Ruinius Boss "Ruine Masquerader" in a solo 1v1 battle.
• Progress through Depth Ranks: Unlock new ranks after completing Rank 10.
• Exclusive Ruine Masquerader item rewards available at each Depth Rank milestone.
