Pokemon GO Team Leaders Revealed, Questions Answered

Yesterday at the San Diego Comic-Con, Niantic revealed Pokemon GO's team leaders, the image of which was then shared on Twitter. Are you happy with your team's leader?

The team also answered an assortment of questions that we've all had, which Kotaku has collected into the following bullet points.

  • There are easter eggs that nobody has found yet (!)
  • They’re planning ways to customize Pokestops
  • Pokemon Centers are coming
  • There will be more functionality added to gyms, though the specifics aren’t clear
  • Niantic says the game is at about 10% of what they want it to be
  • They’re still discussing breeding, but nothing concrete in the works yet
  • The legendary birds are tied to teams in some way, as the original designs implied
  • Yep, they know about the three-step glitch. Still no word. Grr.
  • It sounds like we can’t expect legendaries until after the game has been released on all regions, which makes sense

Quite a lot of exciting stuff on the table. It's a bit disappointing to hear that there's no word on a fix for the three step glitch, but fortunately, there are workarounds for the time being. On the other hand, more gym functionality, Pokestop customization, and Pokemon Centers have piqued my interest.

Additionally, Nintendo's stock plummeted by approximately 17.72% after it reminded investors that it didn't, in fact, make Pokemon GO, and that it was not the title's sole owner.
