Priority One Star Trek Online Podcast Ends After 10 Years And Over 500 Episodes
The start of a new year marks the end of one of the most beloved podcasts in the Star Trek Online, the Star Trek fandom, and the MMO community as a whole. After 10 years and 535 episodes, Priority One has signed off for the final time at the end of their annual end-of-the-year podcast. The hosts didn’t give any particular reason why the podcast had to end except that they felt that it was time to move on.
“I realize this announcement may come as a surprise to most – if not all – of you. With so much going on in the Star Trek Multiverse, why would we stop covering the latest from our favorite franchise? I wish I could give you a simple and satisfying answer but, there isn’t. Behind the scenes, we’ve had long conversations about the future of the show, our goals, our hopes. In the end, we came to the conclusion that now was the best time to jump on our horses and ride off quietly into the sunset – leaving behind an incredible legacy of ion and love for an I.P. that has touched so many of our lives.”
All Priority One episodes will still be available for streaming on the podcast’s official site for anyone who wants to listen to any of them. The team’s Star Trek Online Armada Group will also still be active and Saturday night livestreams will continue to run as before.
