Maui, The Hero Of Hawai’i Will Be ing The SMITE Roster Of Gods Next Week
Maui, the Polynesian demigod of the wind and sea, and his trusty giant fishhook will soon be ing the star-studded lineup of gods in SMITE. Details about his role, playstyle, and skillset are scarce at the moment but Hi Rez Studios did release a new cinematic trailer to tide you over.
The trailer shows the Maui, who looks nothing like Disney’s version by the way, using his mythical fish hook Manaiakalani which to bring up the sun and fish an island from the depths of the sea, just as he did in Polynesian mythology. I’m guessing that his hook will work as well on players as it does on islands hooking when the demigod officially steps foot in the third-person MOBA on October 18th.
