War Thunder DLC Bundle To Be Included With Alienware Steam Machines

In a move that is unexpected due to the genre that War Thunder occupies, a War Thunder DLC bundle will be included with Alienware Steam Machines. This bundle includes two vehicles, "U.S. Army’s M18 Black Cat tank destroyer and the XP-38G Lightning fighter plane." War Thunder has "consistently been ranked as one of the most popular games on Steam" with over 10 million players, but I am not convinced that many of its players will be abandoning their mice, keyboards, or even flight sticks for the Steam Controller any time soon. There is already a widely perpetuated notion that you should go after the players with an asterisk in front of their name, as it denotes their status as a PS4 player.

Gaijin Entertainment's CEO Anton Yudintsev had this to say about the announcement: “Gaijin Entertainment continues to be at the forefront PC Gaming, from being one of the first major titles to successfully incorporate cross platform gameplay, to exploring both future technologies such as VR and AR, to our recently announced Dagor Engine 4.0 and its integration of NVIDIA GameWorks technologies. We look for partners who also are shaping the future, and the collaboration between Valve and Alienware has produced the logical next step in PC gaming. We are excited to be a part of the Alienware Steam Machine launch.” It will be interesting to see if the Steam Controller does, in fact, hold up in-game. Personally, I have a feeling that both flight stick and mouse s will continue to dominate their controller-using counterparts.
