War Thunder Rolls Out The Royal Armour

warthunderroyalarmour

War Thunder's Royal Armour is here and with it comes the first set of British tanks. Beginning with five regular and four tanks, thirty tanks, including "variants of Valentine’s, Matildas, Cromwells and Churchills," will be added to the British tech tree in the "coming weeks." Self-propelled guns and the game's first armored cars—the T172E2 and Mk.II AA—will also be added to the tech tree.

British ground forces aren't the only new vehicles in this update. The MiG-17 Jet fighter makes an entry as "the most modern Soviet aircraft in the game." Three new Japanese fighters—the Ki-44-2, A7M2 and Ki-61 Tei—have been introduced. The F3F—War Thunder's first American biplane—made the cut, as well, alongside "new German and British bombers."

Two new maps—Tunisia and El Alamein—are the game's first desert maps. From "flat open ground with good visibility to undulating sand dunes," players will face challenging conditions unlike any seen in previous maps.

In the near future, players will also be given daily "personal battle tasks." Upon completion, these will grant the player War Bonds that can be used to purchase boosters, supply boxes, and more. Each player can complete up to three per day.
