Warcraft 3: Reforged Community Dissapointed Over Finished Quality & Missing Features

Blizzard Entertainment is once again in the crosshairs of the gaming community over their recently launched Warcraft 3 remake, Warcraft 3: Reforged. Both the game’s forums and subreddit have been flooded with complaints that the finished game’s quality is a far cry from the videos shown during the BlizzCon 2018 reveal.

According to VG247, it looks as though the opening cinematic was the only thing remade using modern-day CGI while the rest of the cutscenes ended up looking just a bit better than the original which wasn’t what Blizzard promised when they first announced the game.

Players are also complaining about the game’s updated End License Agreement (EULA). The new EULA gives Blizzard full ownership of all community-made custom games and mods. Clearly, the changes were made to make sure that the DOTA incident doesn’t happen again and ensure that Blizzard retains ownership of any future custom game or mod should they become popular.

“Custom Games are and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Blizzard. Without limiting the foregoing, you hereby assign to Blizzard all of your rights, title, and interest in and to all Custom Games, including but not limited to any copyrights in the content of any Custom Games.”

Furthermore, GamesIndustry.biz says that custom campaigns made for the original game will not work with the remake and the ability to create custom player campaigns have been removed. Competitive play and clan are also missing from the new game.
