Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade Devs Working To Reduce Lag, Improve Melee Combat, And Improve Performance
In Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade's latest State of the Crusade, Behaviour Digital discusses how well the free version has been doing. It seems that it has done rather well, with daily active s hitting 44,000 and monthly active s hitting 160,000. The full statement is as follows.
Retention is well beyond our dreams. Monthly unique s went through the roof. Average revenue per paying with the free version is $21.73. Actually, it rose by $2 between the first and second draft. I’ll take it.
Not to mention our single largest daily active s (DAU, unique) was 44,000 and our monthly active s (MAU, unique) went to 160,000. Quadrupled. That’s a lot of targets.
The team also discusses where they are headed from here. Going forward, the focus is on reducing lag, improving the melee system, and improving performance. As you likely know from us discussing it when we played the game during Sunday Funday, it's not exactly the most optimized game. Furthermore, the game's melee combat is lacking, to say the least. If improved, two of the major complaints about the game will ultimately be solved.
