Worlds Adrift Trailer Shows That Tranquility Can Quickly Turn To War

The latest Worlds Adrift trailer is a testament to the game's ability to foster a tranquil atmosphere that can quickly escalate into war, as flying ships hurl barrages at one another across the sky. It's nicely done.

If you haven't heard of it, Worlds Adrift is a sandbox world of floating islands where players harvest resources and construct massive airships, that take multiple players to command. Explore charming biomes or wage war against other players.

Worlds Adrift first garnered attention thanks to its use of SpatialOS, a platform that allows for one massive universe where the actions of thousands of players are recorded permanently. Chop down a tree? It's dead, and it's dead for everyone in the game world.

Worlds Adrift is currently in Alpha testing, and if you're Early Access is scheduled to begin in 2017, and I'm looking forward to seeing the game near completion.
