XLGames Announces ArcheAge Blockchain Game Called ArcheWorld

blockchain ecosystem Bora. According to XLGames CEO Jake Song, the game will use blockchain technology to place real-world value on every item crafted in the game.

“It means a complete ‘creator economy’ in which s go beyond simply owning the right to an item, make quests for the game, make maps, create dungeons, and revise and propose plans,” said Song.

It’s unclear how ArcheWorld will be connected to the original ArcheAge game or whether it’s just going to be the same game with blockchain features. MMO Culture reports that the team is looking to release the game this July although they’ve yet to announce what regions it will be launching in considering that blockchain games have been banned in South Korea with more and more countries following suit.

Note that this is an entirely different game from ArcheAge 2 which is still in development and likely won’t be launching until at least 2024.
