VR MMORPG Ilysia Finally Fixes Engine Issue And Kicks Off Its First Beta Test
Ilysia’s long-delayed inaugural beta test finally went live over the weekend following multiple delays to fix a persistent game engine bug. Interested gamers can now take the VR MMORPG for a spin to help push the live servers to their limits until August 18th.
Developer Team 21 Studios warns players to expect various issues to pop up as its only the first beta test and one that’s designed to break the servers. The current build is also missing the promised Freeforge system which has apparently been temporarily removed for more work.
“Getting our community into this current build will help us tackle further game or networking bugs and prioritize hotfixes through these testing phases,” Team 21 said. “We are working on server performance, spell casting, and are discussing how to best re-implement freeforge and will have more information on this in the coming days.”
Sure enough, the servers were temporarily taken offline yesterday to deploy several fixes. They’re also investigating a bug that’s currently preventing some players from ing the game.
Team 21 has also locked down a date for the second beta test. The playtest will kick off the same day that the first beta test ends and will run until August 23rd. Beta 1 testers will automatically be granted to access to Beta 2.
