Apex Legends Reaches 50M Players In Just One Month, Breaks Fortnite Record
Apex Legends continues its steady rise to the top of the battle royale charts as it hits the 50 million player milestone. The announcement was made by Respawn and EA on Twitter along with an infographic video showing off a few of the game’s achievements over the past month.
Apex Legends launched out of the blue last February 4th. No reveals, no teasers, no beta tests, no anything. Just an announcement trailer followed by PC and console launches all in the space of a few hours. EA’s “surprise” logged over 2.5 million players on opening day and went on to record 25 million players by the end of its first week. In contrast, Dota 2.
