Dual Universe’s Big PvP-Centric Athena Update Is Now Live

new PvP content in the form of resource-generating Alien Core Units that players must claim and defend in order to continually reap its benefits.

The update also comes with major adjustments to shake up the previous PvP meta. Bigger and heavier ships will now move more slowly giving smaller ships the advantage of speed. New stasis weapons have also been added which can be used to slow down enemy ships enough to catch up to them or escape depending on the need.

Another key feature of the update is the new Aegis Market which is conveniently located in space, allowing players to trade their wares without having to step foot on a planet. The market is located in the center of the safe zone to give everyone fair access to the facility.

The update also introduces new system map features and drastically revamps the First Time Experience (FTUE) to make it more beginner-friendly. The entire starting experience now takes place in a PvP-free safe moon called Haven. Players can also look forward to better visuals, a new and improved Skybox, and improved water textures.
