Monster Hunter Rise Brings Back Beasts Of Old In Sunbreak, Expansion Demo Now Available
Capcom is bringing back beasts of old to Monster Hunter Rise when the Sunbreak expansion arrives at the end of the month.
During the Capcom showcase event this weekend, Capcom announced that they will be adding several monsters from previous Monster Hunter titles to the latest game in the award-winning franchise. These include the Daimyo Hermitaur from Monster Hunter 2, the Gore Magala from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and the Thorn Wyvern Espinas from the Monster Hunter Frontier MMO. The team will also be opening up a jungle location based on the one from the franchise’s second generation.
Lucent Nargacuga from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will also be making its way to Monster Hunter Rise in a free post-launch update for Sunbreak. Lucent Nargacuga will be added to the new and improved Forlorn Arena which will also be opening its doors in the expansion.
Those who want to get first dibs and test out the expansion ahead of its June 30th release can the free demo on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Up to four players can play in online co-op mode as long as each player has ed the demo. Note that any progress made while playing the demo cannot be transferred over to the main game.
The demo will include access to several training quests and four slaying quests where players will get to face off against monsters of varying difficulties, such as the Great Izuchi, Tetranadon, Astalos, and Malzeno.
