Overwatch 2 Unveils Invasion Update, Teases New Game Mode And Hero
While Blizzard has certainly gone out of its way to make the next scrap PvE content altogether. While we’ll likely never get to experience the promised individual hero missions that had players psyched when the sequel was first announced, the studio did promise that they’ll still be rolling out story missions for PvE fans, which brings us to today’s news.
The studio has just unveiled the next major update for the popular hero shooter and it’s set to arrive on August 10th. Dubbed Invasion, the update will introduce new story missions, new character-specific training courses called hero mastery missions, a firing range, and a new co-op event.
“There’s a new threat to the world as the invasion of Null Sector begins. The world is thrust into chaos, and it’s up to a new generation of heroes to save the day,” teased the studio.
Blizzard has yet to get into the details of the update but we can probably expect more information to come out as we move closer to its release date. In the meantime, you can check out the official announcement trailer below that also offers a sneak peek at a new flashpoint game mode and a new hero. You’ll find that right down below.
