Pax Dei Follows Up This Week’s Housing Preview With Another FAQ And Video
Mainframe Industries, the developers of Pax Dei, recently gave fans a sneak peek at the social sandbox MMO’s building and housing system. However, this preview left players with more questions than answers. Luckily, the team has now released another FAQ on Discord to address some of the community's burning questions.
According to the new FAQ, players will be able to claim plots of land to build on, but the exact size of these plots is yet to be determined. Mainframe has also stated that construction will be limited to the Heartlands for now, and players will not be able to build on roads or near dungeon instances. This is to ensure that gameplay is not hindered in any way.
While players will be able to create multi-story structures like those built in the Middle Ages, the height of buildings will be limited, so don't expect to see any towering skyscrapers ruining the medieval landscape. Players will also be able to customize their buildings with a variety of furniture and decorations, as well as doors, which is apparently proving to be quite a challenge to make.
Mainframe also promises to implement access controls and anti-griefing measures to ensure that players' creations remain safe. In addition, the developers have announced that PvP building will be added in a future game update, as they want to ensure that even those who don't enjoy PvP can still enjoy the game.
To give fans an even better idea of what to expect, the studio has released another housing preview video, this time showcasing houses at night. You can check that out right down below.
