PC Gaming Show 2023: A Rundown Of Noteworthy Trailers And Reveals

PC Gamer’s annual PC Gaming Show never fails to deliver an exciting lineup of games and this year’s event is no exception. Last night’s showcase was packed with trailers and announcements, offering a glimpse into some of the highly anticipated in-development titles. Here are some of the more noteworthy reveals:

Dune Awakening

Funcom dropped a new developer video during the event that offers insight into what players can expect as they make their way through the treacherous deserts of Arrakis. The team talked about infinite combat, combat, survival, and character customization. They also revealed that exploration progress will reset every week to keep things fresh.

Path of Exile 2

Grinding Gear Games showed off new gameplay footage from the sequel. The new gameplay trailer features a lone character taking on mobs of enemies in an area called Aggorat. The team promises to reveal “everything there is to know” about the game at this year’s ExileCon on July 28-29. Tickets to the event are now on sale here.

Baldur’s Gate 3

Larian Studios teased players with a comical new animated trailer ahead of the game’s release on August 31st. The latest addition to the Dungeons & Dragons RPG series promises a group-focused experience where player actions will help shape a narrative that revolves around camaraderie, treachery, sacrifice, and the allure of ultimate power.

Warhaven

The team-based medieval fantasy PvP game got a new trailer during the event that shows off snippets of actual in-game and cinematic combat footage and how chaotic battles can be. Expect to see a lot of rocks and bodies flying around.

Warhaven will be playable for free during Steam’s week-long indie-focused Next Fest event which will run from June 19-26.

Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Realms of Ruin

Frontier Developments announced that they’ll be running an open beta test for the Warhammer RTS from July 7-10 along with its first official gameplay trailer. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Realms of Ruin will send players on a brutal campaign for territorial domination. Players will be able to play as one of four unique factions, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, in a narrative-led campaign and against other players in online multiplayer matches.

Chimera

This boundless exploration, open-world construction, and a sophisticated combat system set in a continually changing planet. Players will be able to take on the task of gathering resources, managing supplies, creating intricate industrial networks, and fending off hordes of aggressive creatures, either alone or in a group of up to four players.

FrostPunk 2

11 Bit Studios unveiled a new trailer for the highly-awaited sequel to their BAFTA-nominated society survival game. As with the original game, FrostPunk 2 offers a unique blend of city building, strategy, and management gameplay. While it doesn’t look like it’ll be getting a multiplayer feature, it’s still a title that’s worth keeping an eye on.
