Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Sonic Dash Cosmetic Too Expensive Says Players
The promised Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, bringing with it a bunch of Sonic and Tails cosmetic sets. Most of these exclusive sets can be earned by completing a variety of simple tasks such as ing an Alliance, sending a message in party chat, or retweeting a tweet from the game’s official Twitter page.
One particular cosmetic, however, is locked behind a paywall so steep that it’s caused quite a stir in the playerbase. The cosmetic in question, called the Sonic Dash, allows players to dash around the game world like the iconic blue hedgehog but requires players to spend $100 on 10,000 worth of AC. A Tails Glide version is also available for $50 worth of AC.
As is the norm, players have flocked to Reddit to express their disgruntled views on the matter. “You could buy Sonic Colors Ultimate twice for that price and still have $20 left. Absolutely ridiculous,” wrote one disappointed player. “I don’t have the energy to be snarky, so I will just say that I am immensely disappointed in NGS’s direction so far,” wrote another.
