RuneScape And Old School RuneScape Servers Rolled Back Due To Server Issues
Both Jagex to roll back the servers early yesterday morning.
Players started reporting the problem at around 10:30 p.m. PST on Friday night and the servers were promptly shut down to address the issue. The servers came back online just after midnight but had to be rolled back to its last stable state at around Friday noon.
This is the second time that both MMORPG’s servers broke down in the past month. The last instance was on November 22nd which caused the servers to dark for almost 24 hours. Jagex didn’t go into the specifics of the problem then and they didn’t do so now, but the servers are now back up and running and you can jump right back in to both games to recover the hours that you lost. There’s also no word on whether players will be compensated for the rollback but we’ll let you know if they announce anything.

Players should be able to log back in and continue 'Scaping. Friends, Clan, and Grouping systems should be slowly coming back online. We expect to see these at full functionality very shortly.
