Monster Hunter Rise Previews New Monsters, Quests, And Cosmetics Coming This Month
Monster Hunter Rise will be getting a bunch of new monster variants, quests, and cosmetic items when the Sunbreak expansion’s second update rolls out later this month.
For those looking for a change of pace and a greater challenge, the Leviathan monster Mizutsune will be getting an explosive new variant called Violet Mizutsune. Instead of the normal bubbles that shoot out from the giant sea serpent’s body, the new version will shoot out bubbles that explode on impact and have a higher area-of-effect. Capcom will also be turning up the heat with the addition of the Flaming Espinas along with a more powerful version of the elder dragon Chameleos called the Risen Chameleos. New monsters will also be added to Anomaly Research quests while Anomaly Investigations will have their level cap increased to 120.
Players will also be able to take on the new challenges in style with new Layered Weapons which will allow them to replace their weapon’s appearance with the skins of existing weapons for a more cohesive look. These new skins will be available as part of the new Layered Weapons DLC which will also come with new cosmetics, stickers, emotes, and voice packs.
