Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Drops Version 2.0 Update And Player Housing

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players are in for an exciting week as the sci-fi fantasy MMORPG ushers in a new era with the launch of Version 2.0. The massive update is packed with a range of noteworthy features, including player housing, formidable enemies, and stunning visual enhancements.

One of the highlights of the game-changing update is the introduction of creative spaces, allowing players to design and decorate their very own personalized islands. From adjusting the terrain to adding building items and furnishings, gamers have the freedom to create unique environments. They can even incorporate trigger items to introduce captivating gameplay elements.

In addition to the housing feature, the update brings a cel-shaded visual effect that players can apply to their characters and NPCs. Hologram effects can now be strategically placed throughout the game world. Meanwhile, next week's update is set to introduce a formidable new enemy type that possesses the ability to strengthen itself and nearby foes, offering a new challenge for seasoned adventurers.

To mark the launch of Version 2, players can enjoy boosted experience points and exclusive rewards.

The update’s release, however, wasn’t as smooth as SEGA would have liked. Players have reported multiple issues, including difficulties in accessing personal spaces during network delays, a bug affecting one of the tutorial steps for the new features, and problems with creative spaces’ time change settings not being saved. There have also been reports of items not appearing correctly in the Epic Games Store and instances of players being soft locked on .

The team, however, has assured players that they’re actively working on resolving these issues and providing temporary workarounds where possible and has offered workarounds for some issues.
