PSO2: New Genesis Is Getting A Game-Changing Update And Player Housing In June
Phantasy Star Online 2 will be getting a massive update this June called the Ultra Evolution update, which is apparently big enough to warrant also be called the Version 2 update. While some may write off the hype as mere marketing fluff, there's no denying that this patch promises some serious upgrades to an already popular game.
A teaser video showcases the Creative Spaces feature that will allow players to not only design their own living spaces but also create trigger items and gameplay elements to build mazes and race courses. And that's not all: a new enemy type and cel-shading visual options that make the game look even more anime-like are also on the horizon.
Series producer Yuya Kimura, who introduced the update in the latest NGS Headline video, teased even more content, including new storylines, collaboration events, and a special 11th-anniversary event for PSO 2 in July. Players can also look forward to a new quest type in August. But that's not all: May will bring its own set of updates, including the next part of the NGS second anniversary event and a slew of new AC Scratch Ticket items.
But it's not all fun and games at Sega. QA workers for Sega of America have taken steps to form a union of their own, dubbed the Allied Employees Guild Improving Sega (AEGIS). The union has filed for a union election with the National Labor Relations Board and issued a statement calling for better wages and working conditions. It seems that even in the gaming industry, workers are taking a stand for their rights and making their voices heard.
