The Cycle: Frontier Season 2 Kicks Off Next Month With A New Map And Progress Wipe
The inaugural season of The Cycle: Frontier is winding down to a close with the PvEvP extraction shooter’s next season scheduled to start a little over a month from now. Season 2 kicks off on September 28th featuring a new map called Tharis Island which comes with stunning new biomes for prospectors to explore.
“Prepare to discover and explore Tharis Island as our third map will make its appearance into the game,” announced Yager Developments. “As with the rest of Fortuna III, this island will be as gorgeous as it is treacherous. Some say its depths contains some dark secrets, just waiting to be unearthed. It will be dangerous, but also profitable, so start bracing yourself for a new journey!”
“[Tharis Island’s] deep caves will be crawling with horrors and will promise the most lucrative prospecting on Fortuna III,” said the studio. “But hidden within its depths is something else entirely. Something of mysterious alien origin that will change prospecting forever. Which intrepid Prospector will find it first? And, once found, will they solve the riddle of its activation?”
Season 2 will also come with a new Fortuna reward track new cosmetics and rewards to unlock. Also, as will be the case for all succeeding seasons, all progress will be wiped prior to the start of the new season to bring everyone back to equal footing. All cosmetics unlocked and Aurum earned during the current season, however, will carry over to the next one.
